【摘要】:Thispracticedefinesaprocedurethatensuresconsistentpreparationofspecimensforproducttestingandevaluation.Thispracticecanbeusedinthelaboratoriesofproducers,users,andgeneral-interestpartiesforresearchanddevelopmentorquality-controlwork.Itisparticularlyusefulforinterlaboratorycomparisonsonproducts,forrepetitiveevaluationsorcomparisonsofproductsorproductequality,andinspecifyingauniformpreparationpracticeforspecimensforacceptancetesting.Inusingthispractice,itmustberecognizedthatthestructureoflaboratory-pressedspecimensmaydiffersignificantlyfromthestructureofmaterialgunnedinfieldapplications.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedureforpreparingtestspecimensfrombasicrefractorygunningproductsbypressingpreparedmaterialinamold.Afterpressing,testspecimenspreparedfromdolomiticmixesaresubjectedtoaprescribedheattreatment.SpecimenspreparedinaccordancewiththisprocedureareintendedforuseinASTMtestmethods.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
