【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversyouth-resistantfirearmscontainers(YRFCs),whicharelockablecontainersthatcompletelycontainfirearm(s)(2.2.1)topreventunauthorizedaccesstofirearm(s).Thisspecification:1.1.1Establishesamoderatesecuritylevelforfirearmsstorageintendedtopreventyouthsfromgainingunauthorizedaccesstofirearm(s);and1.1.2Establishesaconsistentstandardfortestingandcompliancecertification.1.2Thisspecificationcontainsfunctional,operational,safety,andperformancerequirementsforYRFCs.1.3Thisspecificationdoesnotapplytotransport-typeweaponscarryingcases(WCCs),full-sizedlightguncabinets(LGCs),gunsafes(GSs),orhighsecuritygunsafes(HSGSs).1.4Thisspecificationisintendedtopreventunauthorizedaccesstochildrenuptoandincludingageeleven.1.5Thisspecificationisnotintendedto:1.5.1EnsuretheftresistanceoftheYRFCorthecontentsoftheYRFC;or1.5.2Ensurequickaccesstoafirearmorassurelong-termreliabilityoftheYRFCoperationtoprovidequickaccesstoafirearm.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportionsofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetypracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
