【摘要】:Thispracticepermitsananalysttocomparethegeneralperformanceofaninstrumentonanygivendaywiththepriorperformanceofaninstrument.Thispracticeisnotnecessarilymeantforcomparisonofdifferentinstrumentswitheachothereveniftheinstrumentsareofthesametypeandmodel.Thispracticeisnotmeantforcomparisonoftheperformanceofoneinstrumentoperatedunderdifferingconditions.1.1ThispracticedescribestwolevelsofteststomeasuretheperformanceoflaboratoryFouriertransformmid-infrared(FT-MIR)spectrometersequippedwithastandardsampleholderusedfortransmissionmeasurements.1.2ThispracticeisnotdirectlyapplicabletoFouriertransforminfrared(FT-IR)spectrometersequippedwithvariousspecializedsamplingaccessoriessuchasflowcellsorreflectanceoptics,nortoFouriertransformnear-infrared(FT-NIR)spectrometers,nortoFT-IRspectrometersruninstepscanmode.1.2.1Ifthespecializedsamplingaccessorycanberemovedandreplacedwithastandardtransmissionsampleholder,thenthispracticecanbeused.However,theusershouldrecognizethattheperformancemeasuredmaynotreflectthatwhichisachievedwhenthespecializedaccessoryisinuse.1.2.2Ifthespecializedsamplingaccessorycannotberemoved,thenitmaybepossibletoemployamodifiedversionofthispracticetomeasurespectrometerperformance.TheuserisreferredtoGuideE1866foradiscussionofhowthesetestsmaybemodified.1.2.3SpectrometerperformancetestsforFT-NIRspectrometersaredescribedinPracticeE1944.1.2.4PerformancetestsfordispersiveMIRinstrumentsaredescribedinPracticeE932.1.2.5ForFT-IRspectrometersruninastepscanmode,variationsonthispracticeandinformationprovidedbytheinstrumentvendorshouldbeused.
